In launching Victoria's first mentoring program for Women in the Finance Vic (WIFV), we have invited Catherine Fox, AFR Corporate Woman columnist to chair a discussion around " Change Underway:    Where to from here?".     The panel of Senior Executives include Kay Thawley, Matt Comyn and Mary Waldron.   In the last six months a number of initiatives to address women's poor representation in senior ranks of business have been announced:    these include new diversity reporting guidelines from the ASX and programs from the Business Council of Australia and the Institute of Company Directors.  The panel will discuss the way ahead a s the momentum for change grows, the role of mentoring initiatives, how we can all think about ways to ensure real change in our workplaces and finally tackle gender imbalance. ..

We are proud to bring to you an exclusive event and venue at the Flinders Lane Gallery "Treasures 09 Exhibition" when the gallery presents new affordable works to celebrate their highlights for 2009 and the Festive Season.    Claire Harris, Gallery director will give a 'floor talk'.  Four of the Artists' whose work is on display will also be available to discuss their achievements (Claire Bridge, Marise Maas, Juli Haas and Greer Honeywill).   We are also pleased to announce that Victoria Sharples, International Wine Judge and Educator, will be selecting wines and give an introduction to each wine during the evening

Born in Western Australia in 1944, Dr Gordon was separated from her mother and family at the age of four as one of the stolen generation.The FPA and Women in Finance breakfast is a great opportunity for WIF members and delegates at this year's FPA conference to network, while supporting a good cause as the proceeds will be donated to Future2.
